Default Bar/Ref/smog help

I am going to swap a gsr in my crx and basically my question is do you guys think i can pass the ref with an obd2 catalytic when the motor is going to be obd1?

Both obd2 and obd1 gsr cat converters have o2 sensor bungs so why not right? Just shaped differently?

I am asking because i already have an obd2 cat and i dont want to get an obd1 cat when i dont need to.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Which ecu and harness will you be using?
If obd1 harness then use the obd1 cat.
If obd2 harness then use the obd2 cat

No jumper harness will be allowed for the Ecu.

Also, I'd recommend if you want to use your obd2 cat. Use the obd2 harness for the engine bay and connect it with a obd1 harness from the firewall to the ecu.
They will check for the o2 sensor and if its plugged or block they'll fail you for tampering. If they can see it.
