2012 CRV Antenna vs. Car Wash?!
Hello. Our 2012 CRV is 7 days old, and fortunately we read the OM before taking it to a car wash for the first time. My question to the group is: What the heck is the deal with being required to remove the antenna before going through a car wash?! I have a 3-way backup camera...but unscrewing the antenna was the best they could come with for a car wash?? The car is my wife's primary vehicle and she's 5'2" tall... can't reach the antenna, nevermind happy about having to remove it every time. Now what?
Any alternatives / suggestions?
(The wife's a keeper and isn't growing anymore... any ideas OTHER than "Get a taller wife" are welcome...
)
Thanks!

beat me too it....car washes are known for ripping antennas off. do you/her ever use the radio? might be able to just remove the antenna and leave it off.
Ha - I knew that would likely be the first reply - you guys are a clever bunch.
We could test the reception I guess, as she is 85% in town and could probably get all the local stations without it... reverse psychology: Leave it OFF all the time and put it ON when you need to, instead of ON all the time and OFF when you need to. hm. Could work. Doesn't make Honda look any smarter, but could work.

:EDIT:
Actually two other options are cutting your antenna short or buying a soft antenna.
Thanks, guys.
i have a 2012 CRV and have gone through automatic car washes with no problems. probably done about 20 or so car washes since we have a place that does it for $3!
