Does the 1997 CR-V come in AWD?
Very new to the CR-V's but was just wondering if they come in an AWD version and is it an all time AWD system or is there a switch that goes from 4x2 to 4x4?
If deciding to buy one.. how would I know if it's the AWD or standard version? Are there noticeable buttons in the cabin to signify what model it is?

I don't believe the FWD models were added until '98 or '99. Only point of differentiation on '97s, IIRC, was if they had ABS or not.
The tells are the "REALTIME 4WD" sticker on the liftglass, along with the presence of a rear diff and halfshafts. Kneel down behind the car and you can see them. Again, no buttons/controls in the interior for the AWD system.

Thanks guys for the replies. Was looking at an ad on CL and it says AWD but I don't see the sticker in the back window so just wondering since it was priced pretty decent for an AWD CR-V with fairly decent mileage.
Going to call the seller later and ask.
Thanks!

Sticker isn't that big; maybe half-inch tall and 3.5" wide. Placed at the bottom of the liftglass. Stickers can always be removed, though, so look beneath for the mechanism.
