Default 94 accord stalls while driving

Hey guys I've run into a problem here and was wondering if you guys could help me. Here's the story.

I got a new MAP sensor because I had a CEL that would come on every once in a while and it would make me have to give it a lot more gas to get rolling from first gear, yes it is manual.

So, I replaced that and now it idles oddly and when I come to a stop... For instance I'm going 40 and come to a stop at a light as I go into neutral and having the clutch in. I first notice I lose power steering and then spot the lights so I turn the car back on quickly.

That's basically the low down. I believe I have a vacuum leak but I'm not sure how I should go about checking it. My exhaust also isn't doing so hot so I'm just throwing that in there in case it may have to do with it.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Whenever you get a cel, that should be the first thing you should pull as it will be likely tell you what the problem is. Do a search for how to pull a check engine code and then report back what it is. You can find helpful vids on youtube

The CEL was one for a MAP sensor. I replaced it and it got worse, then I put my old MAP sensor on and it was fine. But one thing I have noticed since then is that the engine wont let me go past around 5500, and thus my vtec doesnt kick in, I'm not racing or anything like that but I'd like to know what's going and was testing everything since I put the old MAP sensor on. I also believe I get the CEL because of a vacuum leak but have yet to find it.

U bought a bad map sensor. Get a new one. Check your oil level and Intake filter system. Could be vacuum leak around the manifold sensor

You can test the map sensor by picking up a t-pin and a vacuum pump and applying vacuum to the map sensor with it connected and the ignition switch to on, but with the car off. Some searches should the specs for the map sensor for testing purposes. You will slide the t-pin gently directly next to the middle wire which should be the signal wire towards the sensor. As you apply vacuum the voltage should go either up or down fairly smoothly from 3v or so to 0v or from 0v to 3v. I forget at the moment.

My car doesn't stall anymore its just that the rev limiter is at 5500rpms for some reason, so I'm going to try and find the leak and check for CELs again.

You should hook up a timing gun with rpm capabilities and see if the rpms are correct.
