I recently bought an 02 RSX so I no longer have any need for this b16a2 swap.

I purchased a wrecked but running 00 Si in July with the intent of putting the motor into my Hatch. The car started fine and sounded awesome with no smoking or ticking of any sort. I have the title and matching cluster that will go with the motor when sold.

Asking $2,600 obo picked up for EVERYTHING.

Here’s what’s includes with the sale:
- Cluster & title to car
- P2T Ecu
- Shift Linkage
- All motor mounts (torque mounts were shot); T-bracket with rear subframe mount, Driver side mount and passenger side/tranny mount
- Power Steering pump – will need a new pulley. Will include AEM Pulley if not sold before motor
- AC Compressor
- Starter
- Front shock forks
- b16a2 Throttle cable
- Charcoal can with corresponding hoses and sensors
- used upper and lower radiator hoses. Will work, but would recommend replacing
- All AC hardlines and evap canister (Condenser sold)
- Heater valve and hoses on firewall
- PS Fluid reservoir
- PS Pump brackets
- AC Compressor brackets
- Flywheel Cover
- Megan Racing 4-2-1 Stainless Header – Dent in runner, but still usable
- S4C Tranny – no grinds. Will need new clutch and pressure plate

- Complete uncut harness – each plug was unplugged and no wires cut
- OEM Honda ITR Valve cover – cut for camber gear adjustment
- Complete running B16A2 motor – Was started and ran prior to removal. No CELs

- Aftermarket “STI” spark plug wires

Not trying to be a dick, but I bought a super clean Ek with a Gsr swap for an extra $550...

 

At least if you are going to try and bach a price, be sure you are comparing the same thing.
-HMotors is an older motor.... 92-95 or 96-98..... This is a 2000
- HMotors doesn't include the cluster (even conservatively, those sell for $125, and that won't match the motor like this one)
- Is HMotors going to give you a title stating ACTUAL mileage? Nope... they say right on their site that they don't know how many miles the motors have, only an "average" of 35k
- Mine includes an ITR valve cover.... again, conservative price of $100
- Hmotors doesn't inlcude the PS pump.... what $30 at a JY?
- Hmotors doesn't inlcude the AC Compressor.... selling for $50 on HT
- Mine includes Skunk2 cam gears ..... conservative $100 extra
- CArbon fiber spark plug cover.... not from HMotors..... seen selling on HT for $30 or more
- I don't charge sales tax.... I guarantee HMotors does.... say 5% (Cincinnati is 6.5%), so there's another $137
- I have no idea what shipping is from CA, but I'm guessing at least another $150 at least....

So do the math: I'm counting about another $700+ in costs from HMotors..... Take your thread bashing elsewhere, please. But thanks for the bump

someone else is selling a b16 swap on here for 950. your price is ******* insane. they went for this much in 03, hmotors is the most expensive site for these, 2k or less elsewhere.

 

looks like a clean swap. hmotors can charge more cuz they are a reputable dealer with a reputation, they are a real company with legal bills of sale and give a warranty.

totally understand you feel you have a good condition product, but your price may be a bit high for most people. for this price you could build one with 0 miles.

Thanks for the insight. From what I've seen as far as prices to piece together a complete swap, this seems pretty on. Plus, having the matching cluster and title I know adds some value. When I had my accident back in the summer, even though the hatch only has a y8 in it, both my insurance company (USAA) and the guy who hit me (some company out of Wisconsin) said that without a title and matching cluster to prove validity of the swap, it's worth nothing. So if you get in a wreck with this swapped in your car, you should be covered.

At any rate, if someone offers me a LEGIT offer, then maybe we can work something out. I'm flexible and this is a starting point... $1,000 is not a legit offer.

I say your price is alright, plus you are taking offers. So if someone is really interested in it they'll offer you something. This swap would sell quick in CA because of the smog regulations, put it in any civic from 00 down and it becomes smog legal you just need to wait it out. Glws op
