Default Built LSV, Vtec sputtering?

Sup everyone.

I drive an ek with a built LSVtec. For some reason when I hit vtec between 6.5k and 7.2k it sputters slightly. All other daily driving I haven't seen any problems. I get about 27mpg average. Does anyone know what I can check?

My mods are as follows....

B18 block, pr3 pistons, new rings, b16a head port&polished by DNR, blox C piston stage 3, crower valve train Supertech retainers, Cam gears, golden eagle head studs, Hytech replica rage headers, hondata intake manifold gasket, ITR port&polished intake manifold, JG Edelbrock 65mm port matched TB, ebay short ram, JDM CTR Tranny, 3puck unsprung clutch, Fidanza flywheel. Tuned @ DNR performance in Hayward, CA.

Here's a video of a pull in 2nd gear.

pull in 3rd gear

thanks in advance

It seems smooth to me. Did this happen on the dyno? There's so many things you can check like distributor, wiring, fuel pressure... What are your AFR's?

You can hear it in the second video around 6.5k-7k rpms. I am pretty sure it didn't happen on the dyno. How can I check my afrs? and everything else you mentioned..

Well you would need a wideband unit to monitor your air/fuel ratios. You would also need a fuel gauge to monitor your fuel pressure as well. Look for corrosion in your distributor. Replace wires/ spark plugs.

Can you recommend good choices for wideband and fuel guages? What numbers am I looking for?

And what spark plug wires are good replacements? Gsr? B16? Oem or aftermarket

I run a LC-1 wideband but do some research it's all preference. And you don't even know what wires you have on your car? Lol All b series vtec wires should be the same.

Update: i replaced my spark plugs and wires. It still sputters the same. Recently I was almost empty on gas nd my vtec worked a lot better with little to no sputter. After i got gas the problem came back.
