Yesterday when I went to drive the van I noticed when I switched the lever from P to D it was very very loose....not like how it used to click when you would switch gears. I could easily just slide it right down each gear. It no longer feels like it locks into gear which worries me that is may slip out of gear when i am driving. What could this be?

 

Check your shifter cable.
