91 Civic - injectors don't pulse
I have a 1991 honda civic dx which I recently converted from dpfi to mpfi via Monotech conversion harness. I am using a d16y7 motor and a obd1 intake manifold & injectors. My dizzy is obd0 si my ecu is pm6 wich is pbd0 si ecu. My problem is that my injector dont pulse. I have power the fuel pump so I have fuel pressure. I have spark comming from dizzy all my grounds checks out jus find. I also change my main relay. And I thought it was my ecu so I borrowed a dizzy & ecu from my friends working si and still I don't get pulse. Any one that help me with my problem I am very greathful.
i see that you live in the ie well if i was you i would check your wiring where did you end up plugging in the pins on the ecu.. also what type of injectors are you using?? and pics ???

^^^true that
your problem is gonna be in your wiring set up. all you gotta do is diagnose the injectors.
is the fuel at the right preasure?
are you getting power to the injectors??
are the grounds on the injectors good?
did you de pin and repin the harness to the ecu right??
it could be many things its up to you to read, search and try

Ok thanks guys for all your post. I am using obd1 injectors so I illuminated the resistor box.
I am having voltage by the injectors, & all my grounds checks out jus fine. I've checked n rechecked all the plugs for the harness over n over.

recheck the harness. if im not mistaken monotech sells them on ebay. if you have the harness i think you do, its a used harness that has been modified. chances are some of the wiring may be damaged. you can contact him directly or take apart the loom and inspect the wiring personally.

umm i used monotech many times hes work is clean been running a obd0 to obd1 conversion harness in my ef and no problems and everything was new when i got it.
do you mean you eliminated the injector box????
if so did you do it the right way of using the obd1 block plug were you get all the grounds of the injectors and the gound of the resistor box into one single plug???
he did say he used a different dizzy so yeah im sure the problem is going to be in your wiring (wrong pin out used when you pluged the harness, the injectors are wired wrong)

Yes I did mean eliminate sorry for misspelling. N no I didn't used the obd1 block plug. How do u test the crank sensor on the dizzy. N I check the 2 wires on each of the injectors with a continuity tester n they check out jus fine. N I agree that Monotech work is clean n professional.
How did you eliminate the resistor box? You should solder all of the yellow/black wires together which get soldered to the yellow wire coming from the ECU IIRC. Then connect the two wires you ran to the ECU and the two existing wires to the injectors.
Are you sure you have high impedence injectors? What is the resistance of the injectors you have?

chances are that if the harness was made to plug into a resistor box your using low impedance injectors. and by soldering the power wires of the injectors, not the grounds, then your supplying too much power to them.
low impedance iirc are only supposed to receive 5.5v, by soldering the wires together you are now supplying them with 12v. this will inturn burnout the injectors causing them to no longer function properly. a lot of people think that by converting to obd1 you have to eliminate the resistor box, this is not true. the resistor box elimination is solely dependant on which injectors are used regardless of obd0 or obd1.

I soldered the power wire behind the plug closer to the box it self. And I'm using hight empedence injectors that's why I did that. N all the wiring checks out fine by the injectors I checked for countunity with a tester n all checks out fine. My main relay is brand new and how do u test the crank sensor in the distributor. And I tanx u all for ur help n support
