recently bought a 1995 accord lx wagon. yesterday the maintanence required on the dash went from green to yellow. what would cause this to happen?

 

It is time for maintenance! That indicator is a round drum that rotates on a set of gears coming from the odometer. it is supposed to be reset when the regular maintenance is carried out. It rotates and goes from green - yellow - red based on the mileage since your last scheduled maintenance.

If you have recently had the regular scheduled maintenance done. You can reset it by sticking your key tip into the rectangular hole next to the indicator.

 

all scheduled maintanence has already been taken care of. just wanted to make sure that i wasnt missing something. thanks for your help

Thats not for oil changes? Lol i always saw that but never knew what it was for.

 

Regular maintenance includes oil changes.
