just noticed this whole time my cars alarm has not been locking my pass door, I popped the panel off and noticed the lock actuator was unplugged, plugged it it and still no lock? how do i test the actuator?
Backprobe the plug with a voltmeter, and start clicking the lock/unlock buttons to see if voltage is getting passed to the lock actuator. When you say "cars alarm", do you mean the hand held, or the actual lock/unlock buttons on the door panel?

well my after market alarm isn't locking or unlocking the door nor are the buttons on the driver side panel. I'm going to try that.

just checked it, and it's getting power, can hear the actuator trying to move but it just stay put, almost like its hard to move the lock but it's not. Looks like its time to replace, it looks like a pIta to replace, any on how to replace it?
the new one will come with a set of instructions on how to take it out but if ur actually looking at it its probably just a couple screws and a couple clips
