The rubber seal around the glass of my sunrood on my 2006 SI has dry rotted from either cleaning materials or natural reasons. In any case I have found a replacement glass that came from a 2009 Accord Coupe. I measured my glass and the glass from the Accord. They are identical.

My question is ..will it work on the same mechanics on my SI....

Will it be as simple as glass for glass..

Can somebody lend some knowledge to my situation.

Honda doesnt sell the seal..without the entire glass....I have already exhausted that road.

 

They are differnet part #'s meaning something about them is not the same. Why not just get the correct part for the correct car instead of ghetto rigging a 6 year old car?

 

Oh and the sunroof for a coupe is the same from 06-11, trim level doesn't matter.

 

Also if you do decide to ghetto rig your car, and the retrofit leaks, you're only going to end up spending more for repairs, AND end up buying the right moonroof anyways.
