This custom Carbon Fiber Dash by S2CarbonWorks for a buddy's S2000 is finishing up soon and I wanted to share some pics of it. I haven't seen too many of these floating around its a pretty major undertaking to tackle a project of this caliber but looks amazing in person! I think there's about 160 hours or so into this dash project.

Its real 3K 2x2 Carbon Fiber - UV Gelcoated / UV Clear-Coated - Wetsanded to 1500 Grit & Fully Polished to a mirror-shine. It's smooth as glass.

 

eh, i dont like it...i can appreciate the work, its just not my taste

 

definetly got some time into that. looks quality

 

As awesome as it is...I couldn't imagine driving in the daytime with the glare from it.

Fine looking work you've got there. Is there any concern about the fact that it's not going to flex nearly as much as the original dash?

 

No, the dash is bolted to the chassis quite well in many spots it doesn't flex that much.

Black S2K obviously has no clue....

Wet carbon can look the same as dry carbon if you choose not to clear coat it. But, that would be such a waste since dry carbon fades and yellows quickly, so just go ahead and do that to your own dash buddy...Let's see how long you can tolerate a faded yellow crap dash. OH WAIT, how about we protect it...then it doesn't fade! Genius!
