Bad steering rack symptoms?
So I did the p/s delete and did the "u"... I'm having a little steering problem can't figure it out but I'm not getting clicking or grinding sounds car doesn't really wander idk what other symptoms can be please help
well they said to let out some fluid out the rack so the gears can stay lubricated but if i let out to much the rack can go bad for lack of lubercation ...so i dont know if i let out to much i mean im not getting the "clicking or grinding sounds" or "loose steering" ...im just at a lost of ideas why when i hit a bump my front wheels kinda wiggle wobble...

that could be damn near anything. if you jack up the car, give your wheels a wiggle from left to right, and up and down. that will help narrow it down. also, take a look at all your boots and see if there's anything torn. steering rack boots, ball joint boots, leaking shocks, etc.

you'll know when your power rack starts to go, if you turn the wheel all the way one way or the other, eventaully it will "pop" because the teath have skipped because they wore out, My friend had this happen because he is stupid and DIDN"T keep fluid into the rack.
I have deleted PS in 2 LS Integras and regretted it both times. I even tried replacing the rack(I removed the PS components from that one as well) and had the same results. The first time I just assumed there was something else wrong with the rack but as I did more research I found that doing the delete by removing the internals and doing the looped rack mechanism, you end up with a good bit of play in the wheel. I also discovered that nobody will do an alignment as every shop will tell you that your inner tie rods are bad. The only "proper" way to remove PS is to find an EF rack from a manual steering CRX and swap out the inner and outer tie rods from a DA rack. Then install the CRX rack using a custom bushing kit that a guy on g2ic.com makes on his lathe. I personally never went through all the trouble. I just had peace of mind knowing I wasn't the only one struggling. Hope that helps.

It's a 94 ls with b20z2 swap
I mean I just took out the ps and looped it didn't take noting out the rack.... But I moved the steering wheel back and forth quick on my gf 96 accord that's completely stock and made the same noise I'm guessing I just never moved it back and forth quick before and it's a normal noise
