origianl f23a1 with 5 speed manual trans.
no mods at all, recently replaced the plugs w NGK iridiums and passed Califorina emissions in April

today i was on a short trip and began driving uphill (i5 for those of you familiar with the area) and halfway up the engine started to misfire and the CEL began flashing. i pulled over and the car continued to idle roughly so i turned it off and disconencted the battery. turned it back on and everything was normal until i started on the uphill again, same symptoms.

it was not until the uphill ended and and began going downhill that the misfire stopped and the CEL stopped flashing. now it is driving normal as if it never happened.

any input is appretitated. i want to resolve this before i try to take the car on a longer trip

I havent checked. The CEL os gone But i cant get my scanner til tomorrow
