97 Accord SE Fuel injectors
Hey honda techs
Was wondering if there are any real differences in Fuel Injectors with Honda cars. Are after market FI's just as good. I really prefer to put in OEM parts, but I really don't want to pay what the dealerships want to charge. Is there a site that sells OEM injectors for Hondas.
Recently pulled them and had them cleaned, plugs, and EGR chamber (under fuel rail) new fuel filter. Thought I would make it a regular part of the tune-ups. Getting 25 city on a full tank. Gotta say this SE I have has been a fabulous car. I haven't even had to change a brake light bulb in this thing. Best car I could have ever bought. Still running like a champ. Got a front mount out gonna change in a few weeks but other than that fantastic car. Sorry for the book, like to brag on my Honda

Stick with cleaning and flow balancing your OEM injectors. If you start lookign at aftermarket injectors you are also usually looking at ECU tuning. Unless you can find a set of aftermarket 240cc peak and hold injectors. I ran a set of Accel 255cc injectors on a stock ECU and they worked fine...However the ECU cut the fuel and they really only worked the same as a stock 240cc injector anyway.
Long story short, stick with OEM. Buying reman/rebuilt OEM injectors from a reputable injector cleaner is just as good as new OEM IMO.

So, putting a set of RC 310cc injectors in a car is really going to do nothing because the ECU will limit the flow to 240, right? Unless you modify the ECU. On the other hand, it won't hurt either, and will allow a tune some time in the future.
Then, if the injector are too large, the ECU has to compensate too much. It will end up throwing a fuel system or O2 sensor error anyway.
Ok, so if I install a Bisi Level 2 cam, I am going to need some more flow from the injectors. I guess I should install the cam, injectors, and ECU mods all at the same time.
Yes..... most level 2 cams would benefit from a bit larger injectors and a tune! The tune being of more importance. Most times if you are just adding a cam or cams with no other engine mods. The stock injectors would more than likely cover the spread.
What other mods do you have done to the engine? Some level two cams will run off the stock ECU and injectors just fine.
IMO the best thing for you to do would be to contact someone at Bisi and see what they recommend. In saying that be sure not to get caught up in any sort of big sales pitch.
