I need to replace my stock exhaust and just wanted to know if anyone has the OBX exhaust and if it's loud? If so, comparable to what? I don't mind a nice deep tone, but I don't like anything that's too loud or annoying.

 

I picked one up for under $200 to replace my rotted stock exhaust. Initially I was very pleased with it, but it quickly became much louder. Realistically its no different that a swapped Civic with an exhuast ( tons of vids on YouTube) but because of the CR-V's cabin, it seems to be more "boomy". It also doesnt help that at highway speeds you are turning 4k rpm.

 

4k? mine is at around 3400 at 110kmph.

 

Okay thanks for the info! I guess I'm stuck with building my own exhaust then. First things first...buy a welder and get my dad to teach my how to weld since he used to be a welder years ago. I figured that'd be the cheapest alternative anyway since buying pipes is still fairly cheap online.

 

80mph = 128 km. So yeah

 

mine is at exactly 3000 rpm at 100km/h and i think its at 3300 at 120km/h thats with my 215/75/15 winters trying too keep it from screaming so much on the hwy

and i also need a new exhaust i might just go too an exhaust shop save myslef the hastle, get them too make it a little more streamlined and closer too the body for ground clearance

Seems fairly loud judging by this video. Kinda sounds just like my stock system with a missing muffler...
