Default b16a2 swapped ej6 vs turbo sohc zc swapped ej8

K so i put my hatch on Craigslist awhile back got nothing but junk offers for trade when i was about to give up on the trade game i got a text asking if was interested in a boost zc ej8 @ 10 psi tuned on chrome..... apparently this car runs 13.7 @ 103 mph... my car is a stock b16a2 with no tuning whatsoever and he wants to trade straight across... to me this does no seem right ive seen the car in person its clean title (same as mine) and it sounds like it runs smooth and its clean.... what is other peoples opinions should i trade for it or keep my car what would be the benifets?

You should find out a lot more info about his turbo setup before you trade. Is this an eBay kit street tuned by himself? Or something reputable like a Garrett turbo that was dyno tuned? There are so many variables with a turbo setup. If he can't give detailed info on what components are in it and who tuned it then I'd stay away. It might go 13.7 but for how many passes?

Also is a bit fishy in general that he wants to trade for a slower car. Like if his SOHC is reliable and well tuned why would he want to trade? More likely he is running into issues and doesn't want the headaches.

keep the b16, agree that it sounds fishy. But alot that you can do with the b16 if you decided to boost or anything like that

The worst thing about purchasing/swapping for turbo-setups is that you don't know how well the tune is, or the internals of the engine + turbo kit. Not worth the risk unless it's a very good friend of yours, or a reputable guy that you know you can always keep in touch with.
What do you want to do though? What are you interested in?
Cash? A different kind of Civic/Honda? Boosting/Power?

Yeah thats true im trying to get out of a hatch since everyone wants one and i dont wanna bel like everyone else haha also a coupe would work better for work purposes (trunk space etc) and i like the b series not a big fan of the d series... ive seen good numbers with them but they all feel gutless to me
