Hello,
I just recently bought a 2008 Ridgeline and noticed the dash lights don't light up. It is the AC/Heater controls and buttons, the select, reset dome light and cargo buttons that don't light up either. I do get the two orange lights that come on when you push the defrost or recycle air buttons.
The Gauge cluster is fine and the headlight switch lights up, if I adjust the dimmer switch the gauge cluster brightness adjusts so I would assume its working I also checked the #4 fuse under the hood label "small lights" and it was fine.
I then thought well maybe they are all burnt out so I bought neo wedge led replacements and replaced them all and still not one of the buttons light up, at this point I am not sure what else to check. Has anyone experienced this problem or have any idea's?

I have replaced the factory stereo but I used a wiring harness that plugged into existing harness so I don't think I messed up anything there.

Just to follow up, it was the illumination / dimmer wire. The wiring harness diagram had both the orange and orange/white wires listed as illumination so I ended up wiring them both into the illumination wire for the headunit and thats where I went wrong.
Looking at the wires more closely one was labeled dimmer and one dash light illumination but was hard to see.
In the end I disconnected both as the headunit has a built in auto dimmer feature.
Something so frustrating yet so simple.
