Lowered 1999 V6 Coupe Ride Quality
I just purchased this car and I love it! The previous owner (an Acura mechanic) had taken excellent care of her but he had monster wide, offset wheels and tires on it. I had him swap it back to OEM wheels when I purchased it. I asked him if it was lowered, he swore to me it was not.
When I parked it next to another V6 Coupe it was clear that she has been lowered A LOT. My stock wheels/tires are well tucked up inside the fender wells. I could put my fist between the tire and the fender well of the car I was parked next to.....
Now don't get me wrong, I love the way it looks but the ride quality is horrible, bottoming over everything, even the smallest bumps.
So my question is: Is it possible to have the best of both worlds? Does anyone make a lowered strut assembly for this car with decent ride quality?
Thank You in Advance

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I'm gonna spend part of my Thanksgiving in the shop pulling my wheels off....
I'll let you know what I find!
Guess I should have read this sticky: You CANNOT ride slammed AND have a smooth ride!

Just got back from the shop. First thing I did was measure between the lift blocks and the floor. Found the LF corner is 1.5" lower than the RF. The rears were about the same. Pulled my wheels and found original OEM struts and that all the springs have been cut with a cutting torch. Yikes!!!
Cut, sacked out OEM springs on the original struts. No wonder the ride is so bad.... Guess we can call it a poor mans slam??
Went ahead and vacuumed out the master cylinder and flushed the brake fluid, deglazed the front rotors and pads, then lubricated the slider pins. Pedal is a lot firmer now and it should stop better once everything seats back in.
Now I gotta decide what to do with the suspension....
