Default Fuel pump not priming on ignition and car not starting.

This one is kind of a doozy, so I apologize in advance. I would really appreciate the help, though.

So after a DPFI to MPFI wiring and d15 to d16a6 swap, my car was running funny (3 cylinders?) but I was test driving and hit nasty bump and my fuel slowly died and I had smoke/burning in the cabin. Now it won't start.

Because my car was running on 3 cylinders I was problem solving the MPFI wiring, so I had ran a wire directly from injector #4 to the ECU pin A7. Because I didn't want to cut anything, I just de-pinned the previous connection and just left it hanging. That wire (while it was completely disconnected on both ends) melted at the ECU side. Hence the smoke/burning.

After pulling off to the side of the road, I found my ignition no longer makes my fuel pump prime. I replaced the main relay and tested my fuel pump by sending battery current to it, and it primed. I also found that A7 wire only melted a small amount up the harness and did not effect any of the other wires it was near.

Are my two problems related? What do I test next after the main relay/fuel pump? I even checked continuity from the main relay to the fuel pump.

If you had to direct connect for the pump to prime even after replacing the relay, the positive wire will need to be replaced. I'd just use this to take the initiative to make a kill switch.

That is a very good point.

I will check continuity from the positive battery connector to the positive wire on the fuel pump to really know for sure.

Then, kill switch engage teehee

Hehe. My buddy did an ignition kill switch and hid it extremely well underneath the carpet. Couldn't even tell where it was!! Lol

Alright, Well I connected my voltmeter to the positive battery connector and the black wire on the fuel pump clip and I have continuity there. So I don't think that it is my problem.

I fear what I'm going to have to do is take apart my whole harness on a wild goose chase for where else this burned wire damaged things.

Potentially stupid question but I can't find it in any of my manuals.

Injector #1 is closer to the distributor or the timing belt?
