Do you guys think its my Multiplex Control Unit and is that on the back of the cluster or is this the actual fuse box below the steering wheel.
The MCU is part of the fuse box under the dash.
Sounds like you have a loose contact, or a wonky MCU.
Have you ever blown any fuses?
Do you have any issues with the exterior lights?
Has any electrical work been done to the car? Aftermarket stereo system, or alarm system?

nope no work done to it its all stock. Also the speedo does not work once in a while when i hit a bump the MPH gauge jumps up and then starts slowly coming down to 0. The green plug in the center top of the cluster is where the problem is when i unplug it and plug it back in it works for a bit.. but the speedo still doesnt work.. I hooked up my scanner and it shows the VSS reading so the VSS at the trans works but just wont display it on the cluster.. Is there a DIY on these clusters or can they not be fixed I think the whole cluster is acting up.. When driving it will shut off some times and then come back on or I have to mess with that plug..
You might try swapping the cluster with one from a parts car and see if the problem goes away. If not, it's going to be an electrical connection issue which you'll have to source and correct.
There are some repair procedures which can be performed on these clusters, but typically once they've **** the bed you're better off just replacing it. Don't let me discourage you from an attempt to fix it, though. Sometimes it's worth a shot.

I wish there was a thread on how to fix it.. But I'll attempt it.. The car also has 270,000 miles so that might be why its going to ****.. Also its got a bad head gasket.. milky oil/over heating..
