Default 00 CR-V 1st gen (auto) vinyvolingy

Hey there guy's just decided to make a thread for my 2000 Honda CR-V. I have many future plans that I would like to do with it so far this is what has been done. Will be updating/adding more pictures along the way. Feel free to make any suggestions or comments on this thread as well. Hope you enjoy

Bone Stock 2000 Honda CR-V

Gave it a tune up at 85k miles

Just got these bad boy's in!! Yellow Speed Racing DPS Coilovers 97-02 Honda CR-V. Will be putting these on in the next month! Will post pictures when this gets done!

I plan on putting a Stage 1 Turbo whenever I have enough funds. Would most likely pushing 8-10psi max. Since it's an automatic I don't want to be risking anymore . I also will be getting a EDM front bumper and new rim's and tires in the future after the turbo setup! More to come stay tuned!

Nice ride -- in fact, it's a near clone of my '00, although I have a stick and no tint. Best of luck looking for an EDM bumper; I've been hunting for one for months to no avail.

There are far better and cheaper options for getting a EDM front bumper than the one on ebay. I still havent gotten mine so let me just say if you look around pretty hard you will find cheaper options, especially if you live close to Canada

You're lucky. I gave it to a friend of mine who's an engineer at Honda in Marysville, and he said there wasn't a way he could get it. If you find a workaround, please let me know...would love to rock one on the V.

Pics of my near-doppelganger. Love the blacked-out rims/grille on yours.

OH WOW! Nearly as identical as mine! That is awesome to see man . If you want to get the rims painted just get plasti dip! Thats what I did to my emblems and wheels and they turned out well! I am most likely going to redo them in the future. I didn't do them correctly at first took me awhile to get it looking how I wanted it. I will def let you know about the EDM bumper I really hope they can still order it when I am ready to. Keep it coming bro!

Not to thread-jack, but it's OEM Honda. Very HTF these days, but lucked across one that was essentially NOS on Craigslist; paid about $30.

Some bad news today , crv's radiator had a crack in it leaked coolant everywhere engine got overheated as well. Luckily I didn't blow a head gasket or anything but it should be getting fixed pretty soon. I'm probably gonna back out on my Turbo and go for a safer VTEC Head on the already stock block. Just trying to maintain and keep her right until then. Hopefully everything will go smoothly again. Anyone know good threads on this forum about a converting to VTEC?

Got some more pics Hope you guys enjoy!

OBX with new Magnaflow Cat installed!

Running a bit lean! Pretty good exhaust def see an improvement, tune in the future

Yellow Speed Racing Coilovers installed! Front is as low as it will go, most likely going to drop the rear a bit more

Decided to see how my friend's RPF1's would look on my car so we decided to take one wheel off and put it on. His wheel size hes running is 17x9 with a +35 offset, running 225/17/35. Fits quiet well might be looking at some rims around this size in the future.

17x9 with a +35 offset, running 225/17/35

Some nice poke

So pretty much the story is this. The exhaust was so rusted that the bolts had to be saw'd off. I had this car since living in New Jersey where this car has lived for the majority of it's time. We used it to go through snow and what not. So the rust was not surprising. Now that I are in Texas that is def not the issue.

The suspension too was very badly rusted ESPECIALLY the rear struts. The bolts that attached to the lower control arm were seized and we had to bust out a torch to get that out. After some fire it came out and everything was installed smoothly without no problem.

If anyone is planning to put coilovers on a CR-V be sure to get some professional tools because depending on where you live and how old your car is it def will be seized. I myself WD-40'd the bolts ahead of time to see if it would come out easily. Sadly that was not the case.

She runs like a champ now . The front are set to 20 clicks and the rear at 12 clicks. Most likely going to adjust it to find the sweet spot! OBX exhaust is def worth the money if anyone is interested in it.

Let me know what you guys think!

How much louder than stock is the OBX? Wouldn't mind using one but afraid it'll sound a bit too loud while cruising the highway at 70 mph or so...

Thats a bit rich, not lean. Its not even bad. Most performance tunes are tuned to 12ish:1. 14.7:1 is "perfect" though.

Just to let you know or maybe am not understanding right that link you have posted is showing you how to build a vtec motor. From what i have researched about the auto crv is that cant tune a auto ecu. I have read of someone running two ecu. One for the transmission and the other for the motor.

I'm not going to lie to you but its noticeable more loud inside the car lol. I drove back from Austin this weekend but to be honest it wasn't all that annoying. It will take getting use to. My friend rode in the back when testing out the exhaust and he said it was pretty loud. If you sit in the front it is a different story

Yes but this is at WOT. We saw it reach 14.7 when I was driving normally haha.

I am thinking about getting vtec head and all you really have to do according to my tuner is get a VAFC and get it rewired for vtec. You are correct you cannot mess with the ECU on the auto's . I really wish I had a 5 speed..

Thanks for your comments guys
