91 Civic Will run until turned off, then won't start
Ok, I have gone thru the entire process of motor will run and then not start after it gets hot. Here is what I have done so far: Replaced main relay, even after trying to repair, followed youtube video of testing igniter & coil; both tested good. Fuel pump will prime and I can hear the main relay click after turning ignition on. When engine is cold, it will start sometimes and I will let it run until engine is running temp. There are times that it will not start, even when it is cold. Just because of the price, I have not tried replacing the igniter & coil pack; however from all the research I have done, it seems this might still be an issue. Before I replace, I want to confirm if anyone has had delt with the coil pack or igniter being cracked or possibly messed up enough that once it gets hot, it will start to cross spark inside the distributor. I have found several articles that eluded to this possibility, but before I drop $100+ on new parts, I want to at least get a warm fuzzy that this could be the problem. Any thoughts?
BTW: This is a 91 civic HB, D15B2 engine, no upgrades, just stock with DPFI. Thanks.
