Default 90civic std won't start after swap ...

So I changed out my 1.5 for a sohc zc non vtec motor.. I just do finished and the sob won't friggin start. It's turning over kind of slow. I'm pretty sure I got the timing right. And it's making this loud buzzing sound when I turn the ignition to the on position.. I kept my dpfi set- up so no changes there.. I did use the sensors that were on the zc.. If I left my gas cap off would it fail to build fuel pressure? Please help I need this car to run..btw the loud *** buzzing sound is I think coming from under my dash. Right where the hood latch is... In that area..

You need more information for someone to reply next time. For example...What year is your car? What do you mean you kept your dpfi set up? You left the IM and engine harness unmolested I'm assuming. What sensor did you use on the zc? A buzzing sounf like your fuel pump priming continuesly maybe? No leaving your gas cap off won't do that. Is any of your instrument panel lights coming on with the ignition on? Do you have any CEL'S? If so, what are they? How do you know you've done your timing corectly? Did you ensure your motor was at TDC? If slowly turning over timing could need to be adjusted but most of the time it's a dead battery, which will also cause it to not crank. Have you cheack to make sure you have spark/fuel yet? I could go on but really these are things you should have checked already before coming here. These are basics in shady tree mechanic work. lol.

And yes keeping it dpfi means same harness same ecu same distributor.. I doesn't sound like the hum of a fuel pump. This is a buzzer of some sort.

Right near the hood latch is the main relay/fuel pump relay.
Also, there IS A GROUND where the thermostat goes. If that ground ISN'T CONNECTED, no start, no fuel, no ecu.

Where does that ground come from the harness or the chassis?
