So here's the run down... I have a B18c1 swapped 98 Civic Hatchback. It will start and run for maybe 2-3 seconds then die. It idles up and down smoothly before it dies. It is not displaying a CEL. If i pull the plugs they are soaked with fuel. I have spark at the plugs, i have great fuel pressure, i have checked the main relay, checked fuses, fuel pump kicks on, ignition switch is good, icm and coil are good, and i swapped two different distributors off of running cars. No dice.. im running out of options here. ive been trouble shooting and testing every thing i can think of. Im losing my mind here... Please help!

Also, i pulled the motor from my other car, 94 Civic Coupe, and i drove it every day with no issues. Ive also had a B18c in my 98 Hatchback before so the swap was smooth as butter. It was pnp pretty much. It has to be something stupid im overlooking.

I have searched for weeks before posting this, so please dont post on my thread telling me to use the search function... Thats where i have gotten most of testing ideas from.

 

Have you checked timing?

 

Also have you changed plugs? and can check your primary O2 to make sure it's not bad.

 

oh and make sure your plug wires aren't backwards.
