Radio works but discs won't play?

The cd player was working perfectly in my radio then all of a sudden didn't want to read cds anymore. radio still works great and all buttons work. any ideas?

2000 civic stock radio

the cd part gone bad, either find another stock radio(cheapest way to go) or get an aftermarket radio(best way to go)

Ya, those are probably more difficult and expensive to repair than to just buy a new one unfortunately.... once one part goes bad, probably have to just replace the whole thing.... best of luck anyway
