I recently acquired this civic with a b series swap. The problem is that I cant tell what
kind of trans is it running. I dont see any stamp they somehow removed it and now im all
lost. The trans is on the car so im thinking if I can figure it out but how fast I have to
change gears since integra trans gearing is not as close as b16 or other b18 with vtec.
Please help thanks.

They removed the green tag that has the Vin #? Make sure your ish aint stolen!

Car is not stolen because registration matches with the VIN# and motor and trans has receipts from the junk yard. It has a b20 swap on right now.

 

If at 65 your at 2200 rpm cx vx trans.

 

I ll give it a try but I highly doubt itll be that low of and rpm. I know when im at 4th gear
running about 40mph its sits at 2600 RPM. I gotta confirm this tomorrow when I head to work.

 

Drove the car today and at 4th gear sitting on 40MPH it does hit 2600 RPM. Wwe dont have freeways here haha our speed limit is at 35MPH. Is there anything I can do while driving to test and compare on anybodys gearing. They old owner said it has a b16 trans but I still have to confirm this.
