Whatsup everyone? I am back on honda-tech, bought a winter car 1995 honda civic dx coupe, 150ish miles, all stock. (keeping it stock) This will become my DD as I have an ap1 for the nice days here in chicago . Just like to post to reintroduce myself, I originally was on these forums back around 07 when I owned my first car a 90 white DA (loved it still miss it)

First off, the civic dx (slow :p) but wow im loving the gas mileage, great car, and best of all... epic forums i found pretty much all my questions and concerns with the stickies alone.

One question tho, kid before me that owned the civic riced it up with all red interior pieces and blew the bushing to hell. Brought it all back to stock, removed the purple tint, the bushings were replaced and all interior brought back to original color, and put on 14" steelies with blizzaks all around (had 17" HUGE rims, gave them back to him)...
one civic saved!

1 thing I couldnt find a direct answer to (yes ive searched) my speedometer works sometimes and doesnt work other times, and the mileage doesnt move and neither does the trip.

Where can I buy a new one (local junkyards dont have any) and can i really put any civic/integra one in with just some pin adjustments? I don't care what the mileage says on it and I would preferably like a tach as well.

have you checked the speed sensor for your speedo issues?

 

There is a good chance, if the speedo / trip are intermittent, and NO CEL, it could be the solder points on the back of the speedo. Check voltage from the VSS first.

 

I'l check with the voltmeter tomorrow and have a look at all the connections. I do have a CEL but it only blinks once, which seems to be a bank 1 o2 sensor? it does look original, il prolly replace that next week.
