So my car won't start, the battery was replaced about 4 months ago, can it be a bad alternator?

this is a 1994 Acura Integra LS

Check your main grounds, when one circuit, [in your case head lights] has an effect on another unrelated circuit, [radio] it is almost always due to a grounding problem, check your main grounds first, batt. post and cable clamp, batt. to chassis and chassis to engine ground, DO NOT just eyeball the connections, disconnect/clean/reconnect.

FYI, most batt./alt. shops will do batt./alt./charging system checks for free, it only takes a few min., but do the grounds first, check your local Interstate Batteries store. 94

 

ok it's the battery completely drained, but i got someone to jump start it now it sputters like crazy, if i go past ~3K rpm it sputters and wont accelerate

is this due to the alternator not being charged? problems problems problems

An alt. does not get charged, "is this due to the alternator not being charged", it charges, [or does not charge], a batt. will or will not get charged.

Have you checked/redone thje main grounds? 94

 

I just sold the car as is.
