Tire width question
hey, i'm shopping for a set of tires/rims for a 92 accord lx, what is the widest set possible for it? looking for some rota slipstreams, not sure what tires to get. I'm a bit of a noob so can anyone point me in the right direction for sizes? thanks!
Do you have a diameter in mind?
I would not go any larger than 17" with diameter, and 7.5" is always the width I've seen for 17" for the CB/CDs. IIRC using a 42-45mm offset.
It also would be helpful to state which body style your LX is. A coupe may have different rear wheel housing dimensions from a Sedan or Wagon.

Interested in rolling the fenders, or stretching the tires? If so then you could go fairly wide, if that's the look you're going for. Just keep in mind the offset, and undue stress on the axles, wheel bearings, and suspension parts as well.
