Should my green light come on when I turn key to ON position?(98 accord). Car doesnt start. Thanks.

If your green light comes on and flashes when you try to start the car and you get no response it means your using a spare key with no RFID, or you need a new key made since yours might be fried. Another possible problem might be your key switch or ECU.

 

We are trying to figure out why the car doesnt start, just turns over. (Was running, just randomly killed). My mechanic seems to believe its somethin with immobilizer beings the green light doesnt come on when turning key on. The CEL also doesnt come on when key is on at all, and it used to .

 

More than likely its your ignition switch being said that nothing comes on when your at the ON switch.

 

Everything comes on, except the CEL and green key. I changed the ignition swit h with no luck

 

TEST the main relay, the relay and the inputs to it. Let us know what the readings are on the wires coming to it.
