Del Sol Compatible Parts...
Ok guys, I just traded a 95 VR6 Passat for a 94 Del Sol. Crazy in some minds yes to me no. I've always wanted a Del Sol and they're hard to come by where I Live. Anyway can anyone list or give me a link on all cars that have compatible parts for my Del Sol. Its a primarily bone stock 94 Si Del Sol. I'll admit i took a hit in the shape of the cars when i traded but it was worth it in my mind. So without rambling on any further at this time im mostly looking for suspension parts. Rack & Pinion Mounts, Control Arms, Struts, etc etc... All the junk yards around here have alot of accords but hardly any civic's can I use accord parts and if so what years.
Thnx
Thnx
92-95' Civics and 96-00' for some things.
Suspension is all from the EG chassis, so that is 92-95 civics. The main difference is the rear struts. The bottom mount of EG (and your's) rear struts is wider than the EK (96-00). You can use Rear EG struts on an EK with spacers, but Rear EK struts require the EK lower shock bushing to be used on the EG and del sol chassis.
All of the body related stuff is pretty much unique to the del sol
Engine stuff is of course Honda interchangeable. D- and B-Series engines are direct drop in.
Steering parts are the same of 92-95 civics
Brakes are a little miss match, your brakes IIRC are comparable to 92-95 EX non-abs brakes.
Transmissions are interchangeable and are dependent on the engine, but the shift linkages are unique to the del sol as they are different lengths than sedan, coupe, or hatchback civics.
And then whatever else you want to do is up to you..lol..Welcome to Honda's and the Del Sol. Whatever you do, don't let you car get put in a junkyard.
