OK so i have a new ecu comming in today from HA motors becuase my last one was fried. i just want to make sure that the ecu was messed up before it was solld to me because i dont want to order another 150$ again...

i did a diy solder on for the obd1 plugs. i did alot or reshearch for the pin outs and double checked connecions and that seem to be all right. heat shreanked them and zip tied togeather.
but for some reason i have 4 extra wires on the car side of the obd0 ecu wires and all spots are filled on the obd1 plugs... am i doing something wrong or is there suppesed to be extra ones.
the extra wire colors are blue, white, red/white, and brown. a few of the colors honda uses multiple times so dont know what these wires really go to. is there any way to test where these wires go.
My CEL light is solid because my ecu is trash, and i dont want to plug my new one up to get CEL codes because i dont want to fry lol. so if theres any way to test these wire please let me know. THANKS!
