my 01 base model preludes battery and brake light keep flickering on and going away when i hit the gas, i checked all the fuses and they seem to be fine, im thinking it could be the alternator but would the brake light come on as well? any ideas?

 

Lot's of other issues will crop up electrically when your charging system isn't working right. Have the battery and alternator tested at your local parts store, and replace as needed.

If you still have issues, you may have a short somewhere.

 

so i had the battery amd alternator both checked out and they both seem to be working fine, and im still having the same problem?

 

I have an oil leak and oil has gotten onto the alternator belt. My lights flicker occasionally as a result.
