Default how you became attached to your car

I was just wondering how you guys became attached to your car. i absolutely love mine. i have wanted a CRX since my aunt had bought one back in 1990 she had a Teal green one with a 5 sp. i have a brother so i used to sit in the back and when i was able to sit in the front my aunt let me shift while she used the clutch. i loved the color, the size, the look, EVERYTHING about that car! ever since then i have always wanted a crx and i knew i was going to get one and that is from when i was 6 years old. im now 17 and had mine for close to a year! i was just wondering if you guys have a story to tell how you came attached to it or whatever like me.

P.S if anyone is offended by me putting it in this forum let me know and ill move it to the members corner

get this: i've never riden or driven a CRX. Even though I own one.

I got attached to my RX-7 the first time I sat in it. I've had it for over 2 years now, and everytime I drive it, it makes me happy.

I've wanted one since I was 16. Had about 7 cars before I ended up in my rex. Love it more now than any of the other cars

My dad bought one so that I could go to school ('89 CRX Dx 5spd). The car's I drove before that was a '89 Mazda 323 auto, '90 Jeep Charokee auto, '90 Eagle Talon TSI 5spd.

I liked the DSM quite a bit - but it was just soooo heavy compared to the CRX. I liked the look of the CRX over the DSM as well. I was 17 back then....

But my biggest attraction was the price of these beasts! So I ended up buying my very own '90 CRX Si (my older bro recked the 89 dx oh well, it was slow) when I turned 19.

Now I wish I bought an HF.

When I was 9 I saw one right before it got stolen, I liked the looks and I got to sit in it which was awsome @ the time. I saw it after it got stolen it was trashed and since then its always stuck out as a car that I'd want. I really dont know why, ne ways I love it.

my first car was an 88 accord LXi and i always was talking **** about how civics are so mainstream.
but i ended up totalling the accord, and after a few months i HAD to buy a car (family situation) so i went out and bought a DX hatchback.
but i REALLY became attached to it when i did my swap. ever since then, i don't care how slow it is, i'll always love it.

Well, I had a 90 Supra Turbo, which I REALLY loved, but I ended up bending a rod from running 1 bar of boost on a blown head gasket. So, I went in search of either a CRX or Civic hatch. All the ones I looked at were around $2500 but they all had pretty bad rust or bad dents. Then I found a gold one for $2000. The first time I looked at it I didn't drive it, because I hated the brown interior. Then after about 2 weeks of looking I went back to the Gold one, test drive it and bought it on the spot. And I've loved the car ever since. Especially the fact that no one in town has a gold hatchback that looks good like mine. I've gotten tons of compliments on it, since it's rare around here.

The only car I owned and really miss is a 91 mustang lx 5.0. I saw it sitting onthe used car lot, and was like, ohhhh-nice! It was already modded. I took it for a test drive, thought to myself, "I'm gonna start off in 2nd so I don't peel wheel in front of the salesman." I gave it gas and gently let off the clutch and left some mad rubber. I was like, "oh yeah, it's mine!" I still wish I had never sold it. It was stolen from its new owner and completely stripped.

The crx was a car I got into by accident. My brother said he knew a guy with a wrecked yellow crx he was selling cheap. I was like, buy, fix, and sell for more. I bought it, got it running, and liked it! I decided to keep it. I went to have a body shop do a proper fix on it. they didn't(long story), so I sold it. then my brother left for the military and took his b18 civic, leaving a partially completed crx w/ b16a behind. It sat for 6 months and I ended up taking it over. The car has been a lot of fun. I'll probably keep it for a long time.

I lost my b16 crx close to a year ago. I still miss it like I did that day....
Not a day passes that I don't think about running through the gears, 8000rpms each one...

****, I've had girlfriends and I've been emotionally hurt before, but you get over that after a few months. I've not gotten over the CRX. Not a bit. (teary eyes)

It was the only car on the lot I could afford after my ex wife left me with a bunch of debts and took my '97 Civic EX (which was the only car I ever bought brand new and was nothing but problems for me anyway.... I'll never buy a brand new car again!!!)

My first car was an 89 Cutlass Ciera, I wanted a car so I got this. Everyone told me to wait to find something I liked, but I didnt even like cars, all I wanted was a system. So me and this guy I know one day were walking inbetween classes one day and we seen a CRX ripping it down the street, and I was looking for another car, he says "Dude you should get one of those, I have loved those since they came out", so I was like yea is nice but its a Honda. So the guy I bought my cutlass from, my dad does all his body work, and my dad told me to look at cars that he had, he had a 90 DX, I told my dad I wanted that, and so we trdaed the cutlass back to him for it. So since I have had the CRX I have done 2 ZC swaps, 1 tranny swap, 1 Z6 Swap, and various other parts, exhaust, lowering, wheels, vtec controller, stereo, etc. Then September 15th or so, it got stolen. Took my intake, vtec controller, stereo, all speakers, ECU, and screwed my interior up. Then during that week it wsa gone, I bought a 90 DX again, black, had a muffler and intake. So now that I got my car back, I got 2 CRXs, its great. I love both.

Theres not really much of a story on how I got my hatch, a friend of my parents were moving and they had to get a bigger car(4-door) so that they and their two kids could move down, he wanted to keep it for his son when he started driving, but he didnt have the time to fix it up for him and everything. I had been in it a few times and had always wanted it, I was 15 and on the bus coming home from school and saw a for sale sign in the window saying $100, as soon as I got off the bus, i ran right to his house(5min walk) and bought it on the spot.
still got it and plan to keep it for a long time

well ive had many cars, 79 chevette (mint stock) 88 blazer, 88 accord dx, but ive always wanted a rex, so i found one for 2500 primer grey/faded silver, it was the original owner selling it, she was 50yo school teacher who had recently purchased a montero sport (a wierd upgrade?), so i purchased it and started saving up for rust repair, it took me two years to save 6500 to paint and fix the rust, ive become so attached to my car, when it was getting painted i didnt have it for 5 weeks i became depressed, ive put every dollar in that car and have sacraficed 3 girlfriends, for my passion of my crx. Now i dont look at it as a car but as an acomplishment for the past 2 1/2 years of hard work saving every single cent while everyone else's mommy and daddy were buying them new cars and help pay for the mods, ive done everything my self so i look at my car with pride.

everyone always ask y bother its 15 years old buy a new one or new car, bla bla, my responce everytime is i love crxs and i wouldnt every be happy with any other car, for a while i wanted a civic si hb but after purchasing a civic beater (no affence civic lover) there is no room in my heart for any other car than a crx,

i love my CR-X

after being on H-T for a little while and seeing all the cars and stuff i knew a honda would be the car i would get. so then i wanted an Integra, saw they were too much money. Then i found the CRXs. Man o man! those cars look so cool that i just had to get one. and when i went web hunting for some and saw they were only like 1500k i knew i could afford one. i was gonna get a crx but then i found a 90 civic si for cheap and i loved the looks of that little hatchback. so i bought it july 1,2002. it has treated me great these few months ive owned it. and everyday my love for that car grows. indeed, its a little slow(hehhe) but thats the fun in it. now ive got a nice turbo im getting ready to slap on it and me and her are gonna fly. i love that car. its my life. its everything to me. and message to theives: DONT FCK WIT IT!!!!! i will own this car for as long as i can.

My 90 civic was the only car ive ever owned, driven other cars, but my civic is so much fun. Ive just put so much work into my car i hope to have it the rest of my life. i plan on getting another 4th gen hb after i get out of college to do some weekend autoXing if the opportunity arises.

although i love my civic, theres still another one thats more important, and that i love more ^
