Default MY 90 Dx Project-baby steps

hey guys long time reader, figured id start my own thread to keep you guys entertained, plus could use some input from time time

info:

Bought car in august what it had
d15b2 with 320000
cracked windsheild minimal rust as it was an alberta car
came with tons of extra parts and wheels and hood

Whats happened/ dont to it
Engine blew-may have been a coolant hose was kinked

so bought a rough si with a d16a6 that had only 82000kms on it

swapped it into dx kept dx tranny for now (ran out of time)

stripped the si for parts!

did the MPFI Swap had issues doing it but it worked out

Rad started steaming a week after swap, decided to thermostat and water pumper

-waterpump bolt snapped off, took two weeks of bad weather and trying to drill it out to decide to sand bolt down and use three bolts and Permatek ( it worked)

also had a sticky pedal
- cleaned the throttle body and lubed throttle cable and adjusted it all good now

put on one of the si doors as my window was off track and would go back in-may be the regulator

car is running 9.5 out of 10
---- only thing is when i let off of gas it feels a little rough may be 02 sensor

Future mods planed

- touch up body

-Paint job

-Wire tuck/ clean up wires

-SI tranny swap

-Bigger rad

-Lower rad

-Have an newish cat and piping will put that in

IF anyone has any recommendations on what i should do let me know

--------------Will post pics soon----------

Hey guys an issues just poped up

Cars running good but just found an oil leak i though it was coming from the oil pan gasket on the driver side but when i used talc powder i found that it wasnt the case

it seems to be leaking from driver side corner where oil pan meats the engine above their where the timing cover corner meats up with the engine

do you guys have any ideas on what it could be

Crank seal maybe? I'd pull the timing belt cover off to check. You don't want oil getting on the belt, it will prematurely wear it out.

An easy fix is just replacing the camshaft seal and front main seal at the same time. You said you changed the water pump, then you must have removed the crank pulley and all of the plastic covers. Having those items removed it would only take another 30 mins tops to get both of those seals changed. Do it right now, save yourself the headache.
