i just picked up an 89 crx that is in ok shape considering it had been painted flat purple by the previous owner. i have a few concerns. the gas guage reads full all the time and when i park it for a lil while it will go down to almost empty (which might be the actual amount of gas) and once i start it it goes to full, the battery light is on but i tested the alternator and it is putting out over 13.5 volts, the parking lights turn on when you turn the car on.

Is it a bad ground? i checked the grounds in the engine bay and they all seem fine. where else should i look? the car is mostly stock aside from an aftermarket headunit and rear speakers. any help will be appreciated.
