Default Clutch not engaging

After an engine/trans swap (D15b2 to D16a6), I can't get my transmission to engage at all. I can shift correctly into all the gears and hear them lock in, I can adjust the clutch cable play all I want, but I can't seem to get the car locked in.

So what your saying is that you can get it into every gear, but the car won't move? are both your axles all the way in the trans?
