I have a 2005 honda accord that we just bought at auction but no owners manual. What is the blue flashing light underneath the steering column dash - is an anti theft device - how does it work and can it be turned off? Thanks.

 

Does not sound factory. Stop in a after-market speed shop and see if anyone there can figure it out.

Agree with "Stuff", follow the wire and it likely goes to an add-on security system that has been disabled, at least partially. My gf has the came issue with her 09 accord bought used, I un-hooked the rest of the wires to it, just be careful it's not still tied in to the factory harness to the ignition. Most add-on ones were just for car motion (go off when bumped)
