How hard is it to take off the rear tire and put it back on?
Well I have a 09 GSXR600 and I bought a new rear tire, the local dealership would charge me $50 to put it on or $15 if the wheels already off the bike.
So would it be worth it to take the wheel off myself or not?
Thanks

Should be very easy if you have minimal mechanical skills and the right tools.
If you have a stand or an easy way to raise the motorcycle enough, as well as a wrench or socket wrench in the appropriate size go for it. Its pretty straight forward. It should take you about 15 minutes the first time, about 3 when you get the hang of it.
I didnt see this before posting this, but it should give you an idea.

I found a shop within 5 miles from me that would do it for $40 and they also installed my aftermarket levers too for $30.
Thanks for the video I'll save it for future reference, it looks alot easier than I thought it would be.

you took your bike to a shop to install some dam levers???
taking the wheel off is easy, do u have a stand? frame sliders at least?
if no stand, loosen the adjusters, take off the axle nut (channel lock pliers are fine), kick the axle out just and the rear break caliper (usually 12mm bolts x 2) go to some grass, put down some cardboard and lay the bike on the side THE SIDE U TOOK THE NUT OFF OF. pull out the axle, pish the caliper aside, kick the tire towards the motor, slip the chain off n pull the wheel.
