Default 1997 honda accord fuel problem still yet

Need some advice... Just got home, and still same Problem. the ground at the T-stat is fine.. but i still ran another ground to that ground to make sure it was getting good ground and then tested it with a testing light to be sure it was getting good ground....

as soon as i got up to my friends house it started first try and i drove it around in his yard for like fifteen minutes and then set and let it idle for a few and then just like that it died.. and would not start back up again..

This really has me confused never seen one that would get gas up to the fuel rail just fine but not into the throttle body..

I also took all the injectors off and cleaned them, that did not help... also bought a seventy five dollar part called a fuel pressure regulator that did not help..

after so long you can get it to start back up again and sounds fine does not miss at all... but then out of no where just dies again.... any help sure would be appreicated in what would cause it to just die and not get gas again..... as far as into the throttle body.. when it dies.. i checked the fuel line going into fuel rail and it pours out of it ... and also i check the firing on the plugs and they are getting fire at the time it dies also..

this really has me stumpled sure would appreciate any assistance... thank you

You can try checking the wires that connect to your fuel injectors, make sure they are not frayed, make sure you are getting a good connection all the way back to your ECU. You can just OHM it out to start to make sure all injectors are getting power and ground. If you are getting fuel to your fuel rail but not past your injectors then something has to be up with either your injectors or something isn't making them spray. Have you tried swapping ECU's to make sure that's not the problem?

Not that uncommon of a problem and is most likely related to a problem with the PGM-FI Main Relay, susceptible to heat "related" problems.

You said, "never seen one that would get gas up to the fuel rail just fine but not into the throttle body" a little confusing, as fuel never gets into the throttle body, but I understand what you mean, [into the cylinders] the injectors are not "firing", [pulsing].

The first thing to check for, [once engine stalls and will not start] is for power at the injectors, wire that is the same color at all 4 injectors must have power when ign. key is in BOTH the run and start positions.

I assume you have done the "listen for the fuel pump priming when you turn on the ign, switch to run positions" test, and it does prime, [once engine stalls and will not start] is that correct?

If not, do so and get back to me.

BTW, and too late now but, a fuel pressure gauge would have been a better investment then a new FPR, tossing parts at a problem never works very well unless the first part you toss is the defective part, a fuel pressure gauge would have become a permanant diagnostic tool on your car, and can be had for well under $50. 94

it was a simple problem that was hard to figure out, which was you no the fuel injector resistor bolted to the frame on the drivers side, well somehow i must of snapped the connection just lose enough when removing the timing belt cover even though you could not tell it was even lose by looking at it.... today i touched the connection and was just messing with it and heard it snap and then tried to start the car and it started right away and ran it for around a hour and did not die on me.. so reckon that is all it was...lol... Thanks for your help
