i am thinking about buying a 08 accord but i have seen a lot of complaints about oil consumption and i was wondering has that issue been fixed. Or also anybody who owns one would you suggest i buy one or stay away

 

I don't have oil consumption issues. I have a 2008 Accord EX-L V6. I like my car for the most part except for a few things:

1. Uncomfortable seats and cheap leather

2. Road noise

3. VCM noticeable

I mainly bought it for the "name" and brand reputability. I love the looks and V6 power which still gets good MPG. You plan on getting a 4 cylinder or V6 model? Make sure you really test the seats if you test drive an 8th gen Accord.

 

I want to get a v6 my last honda was a 06 hybrid v6 I like my car to have some power if I don't have to worry about oil issue or break pads I think I'm get one

 

I have an '08 LX (4-cylinder/5-speed). Oil consumption is minimal. Carpet and interior is cheap. The AC condensor is not properly protected, and mine was taken out by road debris in the first 5K miles I owned it. I went all the way up to the president of Honda NA, and he basically told me to pound sand. It is a well known problem (just Google it). Other than that and a faulty brake issue, which Honda dealt with nationally, I haven't had any issues with it (currently at 123K miles).
