Icon2 98 Prelude engine cut out while driving

hi, have purchased 98 prelude and have noticed in the last couple of months, ignition light comes on while driving and the engine just cuts out. Help! Should I do a home computer check to see if a sensor has gone?
Thanks to all you honda: owners!

Are you talking about the green "key" light? If so, that is the immobilizer system and there must be a short in the circuit if it works normally. The immobilizer system will cut the fuel supply, which sounds like what might be happening.

Immobilizer does that. Wow. I would thought is the alternator or fuel issues. But I guess that is immobilizer. Then what to do if it is? Reprogram?
