im looking for facts, frist hand experience, or links or any usefully information on what it would take to swap my 02 rsx type to v6? any companys sell mount kits? anyone know about wiring these up in a rsx? anyone know if the v6 would even fit the small rsx engine bay i no it will stick up hella hight but what about firewall to core support? so here is the deal i have not found any information on this swap using google. i have pretty much made up my mind that i want to sell my long block out of my running car and go v6 i figure with money from selling my k20 it would not take alot out o pocket so why not? my intent on this thread is not debate over if the j series is better or worse motor then k series or to have someone try and talk me out of this. i have a k20 swapped crx project and my rsx is my daily and im board with it. so if you have any usefully information that my help me out if i swap it in then please drop a line thanks justin

 

Go visit j32a.org, there is much information regarding the j sereis swaps as well as different examples of unique j swapped hondas(also a jswapped boat, sandrail and some other strange things)

 

I looked into it for a quick short time but just not worth it. Building a k20 is so much easier and cheaper.

No one has done the V6 in the DC5 chassis that I have found. You would have to do everything custom yourself.

 

I think it's pointless but would be cool to see it done for the first time. While you're at it, swap a CRV AWD in there.

It's a stupid idea, period! RSX works great with k series 2.0 and 2.4L engines....if you want a V6, get a different car. Even if you sunk a bunch of cash to custom a v6 in, it would be a waste an you would not recover even half what you spent.
