I've tried searching but I still have questions
OK I've tried searching but because I'm still fairly new at this I'm getting confused. First off I've purchased a 89 CRX si and I just got it back from my mechanic for the safety check and here is what I need to do.
I have a cracked manifold. Needs to be replaced. When I searched I found all different types of engine types. Not sure what I have or how to find out. Looking for an easy fix to just get this beast on the road.
Next is a left front bearing. I've replaced a couple of these and I don't think its hard but just looking for confirmation on this. About 2 hours or so? Is it expensive?
And last is the left upper ball joint. Again I've done a couple. I needed a press. I'm going to assume that it is going to be the same?
Thanks in advance.

You have a d16a6 in your Si. The engine code is stamped on the block right to the left of the exhaust manifold and right to the right of the transmission.
the front left bearing is most likely your hub bearing, you need to remove the knuckle and have a new one pressed in. as for the exhaust manifold, you should be able to use just about any d series header from 88 on. possibly even before that, but don't quote me, i don't mess with d series stuff.

First off thanks for all the info. Some great help here. I was able to find a repair manul on line late yesterday which I'll have to print off at work today.
The cracked manifold is the exaust manifold. I'll check into the headers. That's a great idea. Why I didn't think of that is, well you know. As for the bearing Checking with the repair manul it looks fairly simple. I have access to all the tools required so hopefully. The ball joint however, not to question your comments but more to confirm them, Are you sure you can't press the ball joint out and replace it with a new one? Like I said just trying to confirm.
Anyway Thanks for all the advice. I'll be posting a few more questions as Time goes by.
