CBR 600 f4i coils help needed
Hi, searched alot, and somewhere i find they are cdi, somewhere that they are not ... i am confused ... few people say they can be self ignited, some people say they need msd cdi or similar. What can you guys reccomend for wasted spark setup with coil on plug with cbr coils. i found this: http://www.whiteforddaviesmotorsport.co.uk/
and they claim they can drive 4 coils from the factory honda ecu ... so i think i will buy one of this, but for the CDI, do i need it, what kind i need, 2 channel or 4 channel? can the cbr cdi be used?

CBR coils are "dumb" coils...so they need a CDI box or something along those lines to drive them.
Most go with a 4 channel CDI like an M&W Pro 14 or Pro Drag 4 box...and paired with these coils, you wont have any issues.
You will not be able to run these four coils with a factory Honda OBD1 ECU.

i can also use it with the original ecu and this: http://www.whiteforddaviesmotorsport.co.uk this company is developing box that will split the signal, i am just waiting some more people to try it before i buy it ... so thats what i needed to know, so i will need to buy expensive cdi box ... maybe i will go with audi 1.8t coils ...
Just use k coils, $60 each and support 250hp per hole.
And LOTS of people have been developing a kit like that for a while Hondata has the only one actually that works on the market as we speak.
