Key Wont Turn
Hey guys.
This afternoon I tried to start up my car and my key wouldn't turn at all. The entire tumbler wouldn't move, as if it was not the right key kind of thing.
The strange thing is that it worked perfectly fine this morning when I drove my fiance to class.
The only things I can think of is that it froze somehow (no idea how moisture would get in there), the tumbler wore out, or that the keys wore out.
(Background info: the keys for my car only work on the driver door and the ignition, the other door and trunk react the same way the ignition is now)
Any other ideas or helping me narrow it down would be fantastic. Thanks!

I locked, then unlocked, then locked, and once again unlocked the wheel to see if it was the cause but it did not work.
I should also add that I took it out of park and back in several times to see if that was causing it as well.

Your switch is probably bad.You may be able to take it apart and clean it. Are you parked on an incline? If so, have someone help you rock the car back and forth while trying to turn the key.
I had my ignition switch freeze up, probably similar to your situation. I pulled the ignition switch out and took it to a locksmith. It was in bad shape but they managed to get it working, at first when I re-installed it, you had to turn the key back (ignition off) but you couldn't pull the key in one motion. After about a month it started working just like new. I believe it cost me $65. A new ignition switch is big $$$
