RESEARCH: 92-95 Prelude Airflow Meter into Accord for Easy HP?
Ok...my flame suit is on...I'm ready
The other day, i was reading how putting an early rx7 air flow meter into 1.6 or 1.8 Miatas yield BOLT-IN, PLUG-IN, no tuning needed dyno proven 5 hp to the wheels - with dynojet dynosheets showing it. The article, written by SCCA dudes, was quite thorough. On thing was that this conversion did run lean in some spots on the curve but overall it was extremeley drivable.
I was wondering what your thoughts would be on any similar applications for a prelude AFM into an Accord (or any other combination). Apparently both the miata and early Rx7 use flap-type air flow meters and the Rx7's AFM flowed much more than the miatas. Even late model miatas experience 5-6 hp gains. I'm at work and I don't have my manual in front on me. I think Honda uses wire-type AFM's...not sure if that would make any differences. Any ideas pop into your heads?

our cars have MAP sensors to read the intake pressure. basically all hondas use the same type sensor, so i doubt it would gain anything.

yah you're confusing MASS AIR METERING with SPEED DENSITY.
on MAF equiped cars (like RX7, Mustang, etc) a new MAF can yield results....
speed density (uses a MAP) is a different story

omg
hondas DONT HAVE MAF sensors

That's why there was a
"?"
on my title. I'm looking for ideas. Chill.
