Default 1996 Honda Civic SI Coupe

Well i am going to show off my 1996 Honda Civic SI coupe (Canadian)

well a few years ago i got a 1995 Honda Civic CX hatchback I restored it and started to lower it. i needed new rear shocks so the front was only lowered

one day Aug 3rd 2010. I was rear ended by a 2009 BMW 3 and pushed into a mini van

so it was a wright off. so i ended up getting a 1996 Honda Civic SI coupe with a JDM D15B

some reason i painted the hood black and as stripe. allso i put on a body kit and lowered the car on steelies and aftermarket tails

so after having the bodykit and tails i smarten up lol (long story) so i put on the 2000 front end swap Deep blue HIDs some nice 15inch rims intake catback, 99-00 SIR rear disk swap, DC header, AEM cam gear, Chiped P28 ECU that vtec kicks in at 5000RPM and reloacted the front plate and eye brows and new rear stickers.

so WINTER time is coming time to get her ready for winter. so snow tires and rims go on and i traded my rims for a set of GSR fat fives

now i cleaned my headlights and took off the eye lids so its cleaner looking

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

i wanna get the 99-00 SIR grill and lip. allso rear lip, rear window viser and 99-00 Taillights to finish it.

but anyways what else can i do to make it less rice?

So you're only shooting for aesthetics and not functionality/performance?
How about interior?

If I were you, at this moment, i'll look for a 99-00 oem (or replica) front lip.
SI Tail-lights
97+ Integra front seats, if not 92-96 or 97-01 prelude seats

Then turbo or motor-swap, glad you're leaving that body kit and tail-lights behind!
Looks nice.

well i did race the car at the drag strip a few times the fastest i hit was 16.8 very slow. i was thinking of putting in EP3 seats because my factory are starting to rip.

for engine i am going to do is the F22 block with the H22 head trany and so on. make it all motor and get a quiet exhaust i am kinda getting sick of my loud exhaust for a daily driver.

but i am not spending to much on the civic i really wanna so the SI grill and lip and tails. because right now i am building my 1983 Mazda Rx-7 i plan on boosting it and a ford 9 inch rear end

Just get a B16 probably the cheapest and easiest swap you can do.

EP3 seats are not direct fit, It took me good 5 hours to get them in. Nice seats though. You will have to make custom brackets for them.

Car is looking better, at least you recognized your rice phase and are on the right track now.

thanks so far this fourm is alot better then JDM rides all my car get flammed on there even they all know i am making the car look JDMish

i was thinking of a B16 swap but i dont know still i kinda like the F22 block with H22 head for $1500 i can get the hole swap. more money i can get it swaped in for me that i might do because i dont want to fight with it. i was allso told i can get more torque with a F22 and H22 head.

with the rims i was thinking of getting some nice offset maybe 35+ again and roll my fenders so i can get my camber kit and make it flush with out the camber and handel better

oh one thing. when i lowered my car on coilovers everytime i hit a bump i hear a big bang sound in the front. now my civic coils are all the way up for winter and i still hear that sound. on my eg i never had anything like that and it was lowered all the way down

F20B (manual version) would be something to consider, as they are reasonable. I'm not sure $1500 like you mentioned with that frank though.

I was thinking of dumping in a F20B when I had an 97 Accord

Dat hood gap tho!
Here's a thread I made if you're interested in some modifications:
[DIY/FAQ] What are some modifications I can put into my 96-00 Civic?

If you want to try to see how your foglight vents look painted black, i'd recommend getting plastidip and shooting the fog vents, if you like the look, keep it, or spray in legit black spraypaint, if you don't like it, peel it off!

It's a project Civic, it's okay.... he's progressing, and at least it's not a STI, EVO or VIP car.
Can we have more people that help and not ridicule the Honda scene, especially if they're Honda techers themselves.

Why does it matter if it's a Civic or 'VIP Car'. It looks to me like he progresses for about a second then goes in the wrong direction for about 20 minutes. Looses the eyelids (looked decent for a second) but paints the headlight housings black? Goes from one rice to the next.. The hatch is a giveaway in the direction this thread was going to lead. I mean c'mon, ****.. why would you lower the front and not the back?

Ricky07 how are black housed headlights rice? plz tell me how non rice you are! how was my hatch was a dead give away plz tell me. so you know the red civic i was waiting to get bolts for the new rear shocks because my rear shocks needed to be replaced and the week i was going to lower the rear my car was rear ended so i did not get a chance to lower the rear.

the hood spacer is only an 1inch not 2.

the reason i am riding on 2 cheap tires because i dont have the money to do all 4 new tires right now or i would. but $20 a tire installed is a great deal for 90% and %80 tread tires

CO671 i am going to be getting fog lights anyways but i just am waiting intill its not cold out.

v!taminb16 soon soon i wanna get spoon mirrors first
