Default Black oil.

I don't know why but I've been having to change my oil almost every 1500 miles. Its been turning black and I guess burning a lot because its over a quart low every time. I drive almost 90 miles a day so as you could imagine i'm having to change my oil a lot.
12k miles ago I had to replace the transmission, clutch, radiator, ac, motor mounts, timing belt water pump, axle, broke the dx cat so I switched the intake and exhaust from the ex. replace all the seals/gaskets that goes with those jobs as well as all new valve cover seals gaskets and a new oil pan gasket Also replaced the fuel filter. Also have did a general tune up about 2 months ago.
Before this the oil was still pretty black but I remember first getting the car and the oil staying gold after 3000! I don't slack on changing I was always doing it at 3000 until it started getting dark and losing a lot of oil (not leaking) when I started doing them at 1500. Changing oil filters doesn't seem to be helping any. The oils not thick or anything just straight black any suggestions

it's what happens when you burn oil. i would start with replacing the pcv valve. if that doesn't help, you probably have stuck oil control rings.

Thanks! Ill change the valve because I probably need to anyway, but I get good mpg and don't have an idle problem. Your probably right about the rings, that makes the most sense because I have 212k on my car and it has been smelling a little lately, no smoke tho.. someone had told me to try seafoam. Should I use that too or just replace those parts? Im using 5-30 gtx high milage now would 10-30 help at all after I did that?
